Michael Baye has advised a variety of clients in matters involving competition, mergers, monopolization, commercial litigation, pricing strategy and other economic issues.

Baye has provided written and oral expert testimony at the request of the US Department of Justice and the Canadian Competition Bureau. He has also consulted for both private parties and the government on a number of matters before the Antitrust Division of the US Department of Justice. In these engagements, he has examined the competitive effects of proposed mergers, evaluation of proposed antitrust remedies, evaluation of allegations of monopolization, and damages, among other issues. Industries examined include gasoline, building supplies, trash hauling, supermarkets, e-commerce, paper, waste disposal, railroads, telecommunications, and a variety of traditional wholesale and retail establishments.

Baye is also a special consultant with NERA Economic Consulting.
